From the more adventurous wheelbarrow position to the classic missionary, we all have our favorite positions in bed. But if you ask women, there seems to be one sex position we almost universally hateβwhich is bad news for the men who say they find it "incredibly sexy."
Reverse Cowgirl
The reverse cowgirl position isn't exactly making us women cheer, as hundreds of women on Reddit agree it's their least favorite way to have sex. "The angle doesn't do anything for me, and staring at my partner's legs and feet isn't my favorite view," says one woman.
"I absolutely hate the reverse cowgirl position," another shared. "It feels like you're being poked the wrong way. Super uncomfortable and the view isn't great." Someone else added, "I hate this position. It's so uncomfortable... plus staring at feet, plus the awkward feeling of my anus facing him."
Women prefer positions where their faces touch. Others found the "pressure" the angle of the reverse cowgirl position created in their vaginas and pelvis uncomfortable, while some wondered what on earth they were supposed to do with their hands.
βIt's a matter of not knowing whether to hold their shins, ankles or the bed,β laughs someone else.
Another 430 women in the discussion agreed with this sentiment, making the reverse cowgirl position one of the most, if not the most, hated sex positions. Cate Campbell, a BACP-accredited sex therapist and co-host of the podcast The Real Sex Education, tells Metro that this isn't really surprising.
βSome women find this position downright off-putting because it makes them feel uncomfortable, especially since they don't usually make eye contact with their partner,β she explains.
'Others are also put off by horror stories of injuries to men allegedly occurring in this position, usually when the woman leans forward to hold on or rest for a moment.'

Of course, this doesn't apply to all women; some actually find it very pleasurable. Cate explains that the increased contact with the G-spot and the ability to control the depth and speed of intercourse can enhance the experience.
"Some women enjoy being in control of when to speed up or slow down, although it does require a lot of stamina, which can spoil the fun and be tiring," she adds.
Other unpopular sex positions
The main message seems to be that women want to see the face of the person they're having sex with, and that's understandable. It's a theme that recurs in other sex positions women weren't fans of: doggy style and the 69.
Regarding doggy style, one Reddit user said, "I feel so distant from my partner in this position, it feels like we're having sex separately. I don't get much pleasure out of it, I'm just there, having to perform an exorcism just to see his facial expressions."
