The Sybian is a sex machine, mainly intended to be used by women. The Sybian consists of a kind of saddle box, a motor that moves a rod that protrudes a little through the top of the saddle. Rubber attachments can be placed on the rod that, through the movement of the rod and vibrations, the vagina, clitoris and possibly the anus stimulate. The speed can be regulated by remote control.

The machine was developed in the United States by inventor David Lampert, who conceived the concept in the 1970s and produced a first prototype in 1985, with the first model being delivered from the end of 1987. During the development phase the device was called the Master Better but eventually the name Sybian was chosen, named after the ancient Greek city Sybaris in southern Italy whose inhabitants had a reputation as "decadent voluptuous people".
